I agree with the stabilizer, but here's another thing that you should think before you save your Stang is. Remove and replace the candles on the table and pour 2 tablespoons of oil in each cylinder, then the spark plugs. As someone said, the engine oil drips on the bottom of the pot and offer little protection in the first draft. But burning lubracated with oil in the cylinder rings and excess oil with the first start. As for oil in the pan and leave it there, if memory for a very long time to do an oil change, if it is not made available. Another person said that if you plan to store for a period to remove the gas, that is correct.
ReplyDeleteIf you would sit more than a few months I have, then drain. if only a few months, simply use Stable and control of some
ReplyDeletePlace a small stable in the gas tank. This helps the gas to get sick. The oil will be fine. I use this method every year for my jetskiis. Stable is the best material invented .... that the chemicals in the gas hold ..... well, stable. LOL!

ReplyDeleteOil will be fine. if you spend a little Sta-bil would be good to put in the fuel. It would also be a great day to start to try to every week if not every two weeks. only makes it easier to start if you want to go. I have a '66 Ford-ups that do not drive much, but I try to start from time to time to ensure that nothing sticks or use, and that starts every time I want to use.
ReplyDeletePut fuel stabilizer in it and restart every few months.
ReplyDeleteGas goes to one years of existence. You want the tank is empty and on your lawn tractor.
ReplyDeleteThe oil can sit a little longer. Although, if you start, do not hammer on the accelerator! That is cause piston rings be used, in the cylinder wall, because there is no lubircation, because everything has fallen into the oil pan.
I hope that helps.
